Last year was a big one for us! We have eased into continuous improvement cycles and will now be putting out two major releases per year. We made this change to more easily release bug fixes and non-disruptive improvements. The goal is to enhance the user experience of our customers and that of your business travelers.
With this new way of working, we are proud to have achieved significant results.
Last year we brought out the "SpendCatcher by MobileXpense" app. This new app has a completely revised look and feel with an improved user interface, making it even more intuitive to use. Auto focus and auto snap make taking a picture of a receipt both faster and easier. Users can now capture multi-page receipts straight from the app.
Our OCR-based control feature SpendController received serious updates. Improvements include a boosted performance and user experience. The engine behind the feature has been enriched for speed and accuracy and now feeds itself to continuously enhance data quality.
In 2019, we upped our integration game by making more suppliers available off-the-shelf. We also created an integration kit to make adding new suppliers to our offer quick and easy. We started with VAT recovery partners, but there are exciting things coming in 2020!
This post would not be complete without mentioning our biggest achievement: the upgrade to our latest web application. Our new web app has a much-improved user interface for a smoother user experience. Our allowance and mileage features are more intuitive than ever, and our new Health Care Professionals (HCP) feature is very sleek.
This year, we will keep improving our solution. Based on customer feedback and our expert knowledge, we’ll continue to improve user experience while deepening our partner integrations.

Our first topic for 2020 is the deputy feature on mobile which will allow deputies to fulfil other users' tasks on the go.
As part of our “deeper partner integrations” pillar, we will be expanding our vendor e-invoicing catalogue. This means that you’ll be able to connect your favorite suppliers to MobileXpense and automatically import invoices and create expenses – hassle-free!
We are honored to have been recognised as a "Major Player " by IDC. In keeping with this recognition, we want 2020 to be the year that we strengthen our support for the APAC region. This will include better compliance, improved regional OCR results and making more local services available.
We’ve said it before, but 2019 was a big year for MobileXpense. And we are gearing up for 2020 to be even bigger! We aim to become industry leader and, with your feedback, to making our product even more #carefree for our customers.
